  • Learn the importance of practicing healthy behaviors through identifying, describing, and engaging in those behaviors at home, school, and community



  • Practice how to engage children in effective questions, language modeling, feedback loops, peer-modeling and visual representations to extend understanding of healty practices

Introduction to ECE LEAP - The Image of the Child (Option 1)
Participants will be able to:


  • Explore the scope and sequence of Early Childhood LEAP for the 2016-2017 school year, and identify the "Four Pillars of ECE Practice" that will guide our LEAP work

  • Construct an image of the Child that will act as the framework for the LEAP work throughout the year

  • Explore the role of the four pillars through a curricular perspective

  • Examine the role that relationships play in the development and learning of young children
