Thank you for sharing your talent and expertise with DCPS for the 2016-2017 School Year! We are excited to launch this school year with two incredible days of content-based professional development sessions.
Participants will be able to: • Customize and deliver the lessons of Eureka Math • Use the preparation process collaboratively and independently to prepare lessons to be taught • Highlight the coherence of the Eureka Math curriculum using examples drawn from across the grades • Develop tools needed to address gaps in students’ prior knowledge and deepen students’ engagement

Participants will be able to: • Understand the vision for and the connection between the DCPS curriculum and LEAP professional development • Create a shared understanding of unit 1 content and assessments • Engage in a text-based discussion in order to unpack the complexities of a core unit 1 text
